SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide to Field Trips, Permission Slips, Signs and Weasels, a Nickelodeon TV movie adventure with a romantic twist and a momentous kiss for teen tipster Ned Bigby (Devon Werkheiser), premieres Friday, June 8 (8-9 p.m. & instant replay 9-10 p.m.; repeats 6-10 at 6 p.m. ET/PT). When Ned busts out of school with his pals on a field trip, he winds up chasing love, dodging a vice principal and thwarting a band of art thieves through botanical gardens. Ned can't wait to woo his dream girl. But is she Moze (Lindsey Shaw) or Suzie (Christian Serratos)?! Romance blooms at last among the roses - the movie's sealed with a kiss -- but not before Ned wrestles with a bunch of thorny dilemmas and literally finds himself up a tree.
The comic adventure, which follows a marathon of the cast's favorite Ned's Declassified episodes and a behind-the-scenes special (5-8 p.m.), kicks off "Ned Shred Weekend" on Nickelodeon featuring a double dose of Nick star Devon Werkheiser. Devon also top-lines as visionary nerd turned cyber-hero Nolan Byrd (a.k.a. Shredderman) in the original Nick TV movie Shredderman Rules! Saturday, June 9 (8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT).
"In Ned's Declassified's biggest adventure ever, Ned and the gang finally get outside James K. Polk Middle School for the first time," says Nickelodeon's Marjorie Cohn, Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming. "Love and laughter are in the air as the long-awaited question of who Ned picks - best friend Moze or longtime crush Suzie - is finally answered -- and I don't think fans will be disappointed! It's a great action-packed episode with almost everyone who was ever on the show making a return to help Ned, Moze and Cookie stop a ring of art thieves and solve Ned's romantic dilemma."
Raring to go, Ned counts down to boarding the bus in front of school and promises Suzie they'll rendezvous in the world-famous rose garden. Cookie's (Daniel Curtis Lee) bent on impressing Lisa - and maybe even saving the day -- with his superhero alter ego, the Steel Eagle, and Moze is psyched to check out the celebrated "Wild Boy" painting. But when Cookie loses his permission slip and panics, Ned and Moze forge a note for him -- and merciless Vice Principal Crubbs tosses the trio in the "no-goers" room! Thanks to Gordy's covert antics, it's a temporary hitch, and they sneak onto the bus and head for the spectacular 200-acre gardens and art gallery.
Ned gears up for what could be the greatest day of his life -- albeit secretly at first and then as a "fugitive" and "mop-headed menace" with Crubbs and art thieves nipping at his heels. En route to meeting his true love, he's a rebel jumping out of Crubbs' path into a thorn bush and emerging torn, tattered - and grass-skirted -- like the legendary ghost of "Wild Boy" said to roam the grounds. Meanwhile, incognito Moze heads for "The Wild Boy" painting, and a smitten Loomer, who appears to have turned over a new leaf, regales her with his knowledge of art. Will he win her heart? Amid all the hi-jinks, will Ned have a change of heart?
Now in its third season, the blockbuster Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, which consistently ranks in the top five shows with tweens on all of TV, chronicles the adventures of eighth grader Ned and his best pals Moze and Cookie at James K. Polk Middle School, as "every-kid" Ned shatters the fourth wall to share tips and tricks on jumping school hurdles. Episodes air regularly Saturdays at 8 p.m. in TEENick; Sundays at 6:30 p.m. and M-F at 6 p.m.
Scott Fellows (co-executive producer The Fairly OddParents) is Ned's Declassified's creator/executive producer. Fellows and Lazar Saric penned the TV movie, and Savage Steve Holland directed.
