Lightworks Producing Group Announces Acquisition of KPI

- Lightworks Enterprises Strengthens Producing Arm Through Acquisition of Emmy-Award Winning Production Company -

NEW YORK, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightworks Producing Group (LPG), a multi-faceted television production company and unit of vertically integrated Lightworks Enterprises, Inc., today announced the acquisition of Kralyevich Productions, Inc. (KPI), an Emmy Award-winning producer of non-fiction and fiction series and marquee specials for broadcasters such as A&E, the National Geographic Channel, the History Channel, the Smithsonian Channel, Court TV, the Discovery Channel, and Bravo, among others. Under the new structure, KPI will be a unit of LPG.

In 2006, New York City-based KPI received two Emmys for its special, "Rome: Engineering an Empire," which marked the first primetime Emmys ever awarded to the History Channel. KPI's recent programming includes such well recognized titles as "Megastructures" (National Geographic Channel); "Xtreme Homes" (HGTV); Sea Battles (The Military Channel); and the "Engineering an Empire" series (History Channel).
