James A. Jones Has Been Officially Named Executive Vice President, and Scott Vandiver as Head of Production for Alpine Pictures, Inc.
BURBANK, Calif., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- James A. Jones who has been with Alpine for many years has been selected to move up to the post of Executive Vice President and assist CEO Ryan Carroll with production, public affairs, marketing, business and legal affairs, and strategic planning and operations, as well as investor relations, finance, and funding operations. James' long tenure with Alpine allows for a comprehensive knowledge of the company's business model, and a dexterity to seamlessly assist CEO Ryan Carroll with the expansion of Alpine Pictures. James was an associate producer on Alpine's Love Is the Drug, and Dark Honeymoon, and was integral with negotiations to secure the rights to Roger S. Baum's children's fantasy adventure Dorothy of Oz, based on characters created by his great grandfather L. Frank Baum who created America's classic fairy tale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and the hiring of Bonne Radford as Producer of the animated feature film Dorothy of Oz.
Scott Vandiver has been hired as Head of Production for Alpine and will oversee all aspects of the production cycle from development to post. Scott's first assignment is the completion of Dark Honeymoon, and the development of a strong slate of films to be produced in 2007. Scott recently produced The Head Hunter, and previous credits include Sabretooth, My Brother the Pig, Tale of The Mummy, and Black Dawn. Before joining Alpine he held positions as President of Brimstone Entertainment, and Senior Vice President of U.P.I.
Marc Hart has been promoted to Senior Associate with Box Office Productions III LLC who in association with Alpine Pictures, Inc is producing the animated feature film Dorothy of Oz, based on the children's adventure series by acclaimed author Roger S. Baum, great grandson of L Frank Baum who created America's foremost fairytale The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Mr. Hart previously worked on the feature films Love Is the Drug and Dark Honeymoon, and has nearly two decades of entertainment background spanning from his owning production of Fraud, which he wrote and produced for the stage, and his performance in the romantic comedy Cease and Desist that garnered several honorable mentions. Mr. Hart is adept on stage and screen, as well as backstage and behind the scenes, and brings a depth of knowledge to the company that is invaluable.
