Julie Roehm and Mike Boyd Join BIAP Inc. Board of Directors

Two Business Leaders - One a Visionary in Advertising, New Media and Marketing, the Other a Pioneer in Television as an Engine of Commerce - to Lend Their Expertise to the Interactive Television Innovator

PLANO, Texas, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- BIAP Inc., the leading provider of interactive television applications, is pleased to announce the addition of Julie Roehm and Mike Boyd to the company's Board of Directors.

Ms. Roehm most recently served as Wal-Mart's Senior VP of Marketing Communications, directing the company's advertising and marketing efforts. Prior to Wal-Mart, she was Director of Marketing Communications at DaimlerChrysler where she oversaw marketing for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands. She was named, "Automotive Marketer of the Year" by Brandweek in 2004, and her innovative approach to interactive online marketing won her several other awards including Ad Age's "Women to Watch" in 2000 and a place in the 2004 Advertising Hall of Achievement.

Mr. Boyd was a co-founder of QVC, Inc. in 1986, and he served as President until 1994. Under his leadership, QVC achieved annual revenues in excess of $1.2 billion and full distribution in the cable television universe. Mr. Boyd was subsequently a co-founder and President of TeleSpectrum Worldwide, Inc., bringing that company public in 1996 and achieving annual revenues of approximately $200 million. Prior to QVC, Mr. Boyd had an extended career in the direct response industry, holding senior positions at the Franklin Mint and Lillian Vernon Corporations. In addition to BIAP, Mr. Boyd currently serves on the boards of SHOP.COM, and Longport, Inc.

"Julie and Mike possess deep expertise in the critical areas of television commerce, new media advertising and rapid growth companies," said Winston J. (Win) Churchill, Chairman of the Board of BIAP Inc. "We are thrilled that these dynamic business leaders share our view that BIAP is leading a revolution in the world of advertising and programming. Their extraordinary perspective will be a great asset to the company."

"Television remains the preferred medium of advertisers today, but it currently lacks many of the capabilities of the Web," said Ms. Roehm. "BIAP has the technology to transform the world of television advertising. They have the unique ability to marry the power and emotion of television with the immediacy and personalization of the Internet right on the TV. In BIAP's new interactive world, the interested viewer can immediately connect in a personalized way with the programming content or to an advertiser. Working with BIAP is an opportunity I did not want to miss."

"When we started QVC, we had a vision and a plan. Within eight years, we had more than 6,000 employees. BIAP, too, is poised for phenomenal growth," said Mr. Boyd. "With products like 'eBay on TV,' BIAP can continue the transformation that QVC started in the world of commerce on television. I'm looking forward to helping guide BIAP as its amazing technology further revolutionizes the television experience."

Ms. Roehm and Mr. Boyd join BIAP's current Board of Directors, including: Winston J. Churchill, Managing General Partner of SCP Private Equity Partners, Salman Farmanfarmaian, Principal, SCP Private Equity Partners, Ram Velidi, Partner, Sevin Rosen Funds, Timothy Peters, CEO, BIAP Inc. and Louis Slothouber, Chief Scientist, BIAP Inc.

Recently, BIAP signed a long-term affiliation agreement with Time Warner Cable, received a U.S. patent for its unique technology, and was honored with two Technology and Engineering Emmy Award Nominations.
