Digital 10 Network Awarded Michigan Secretary of State Contract
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Farmington Hills-based Digital 10 Network has been awarded a five-year digital networking contract with the State of Michigan after a competitive bidding process. Gene Brady, President of Digital 10 Network, made the announcement.
The Department of State explored this possibility as it launched a pilot program in September 2005 in Detroit, creating a statewide Custom Digital Media network that provides engaging content to customers in Secretary of State offices. The media network, available for viewing by all Secretary of State visitors, offers educational and informative programming within the branch office experience. Digital 10's Custom Digital Media network is also utilized by the Secretary of State to facilitate employee communications in an efficient, cost-free manner. It also minimizes costs associated with employee training, eliminating the need for multiple sessions and reducing employee travel expenses.
The Secretary of State and Digital 10 Network contract is a successful collaboration between business and government. Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land explained that this public-private effort is a creative way to maximize state resources, especially during lean budget times.
"Effectively communicating with customers and employees is essential to providing high-quality service," Land said. "This public-private initiative lets the department stretch its dollars as well, making internal training more efficient by reducing the need for multiple sessions and employee travel costs. We're pleased to put technology to work for Michigan taxpayers in a manner that respects the state's limited resources."
The pilot program was a success in educating the department about this permanent solution and included 11 offices in highly trafficked locations throughout southern Michigan. Those areas are Lansing, Clinton Township, Pontiac, Flint, Canton, Livonia, Dearborn/Redford, Grand Rapids, Benton Harbor and Kalamazoo.
The statewide digital network is the first of its kind on this scale anywhere in North America. The present network reaches approximately 2 million people through 11 offices. The full network will encompass 108 branch offices with a reach of approximately 8 million people.
Expansion of the Digital 10 Custom Digital Media network to the additional Secretary of State offices is expected to be completed in June.
Farmington Hills, MI-based Digital 10 Network (digital10network.com) develops Customizable Digital Media(TM) (CDM) networks and content, providing advertisers the opportunity to connect with consumers through addressable, relationship marketing.
