Rentrak's OnDemand Essentials Announces Six New Network Group Customers and Three New MSO Partners

PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rentrak Corporation (NASDAQ:RENT) today announced six new network groups as subscribers to its OnDemand Essentials(TM) VOD measurement system. Multi-year deals have been signed with A&E Television Networks, Inc., CNET, Inc, Havoc TV, Inc, IFC Films, The Inspirational Network, Inc, and PBS KIDS Sprout.

Rentrak also welcomed three new MSO partners -- Armstrong's telecommunications unit which provides broadband and cable services to systems in Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia; Elijay Telephone, Inc., which serves several systems in Northern Georgia; and Wide Open West (WOW), a cable, internet service and telephone service provider that operates in metro areas of Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.

With the addition of these six network groups, comprising 10 on demand networks, Rentrak's expanding roster of content provider subscribers now totals 49 subscribers include studios, cable and broadcast networks and on demand-only networks of all content types, which offer transactional on demand, subscription on demand, free on demand and real time encoding.

Each of these customers relies on OnDemand Essentials to access daily on demand performance data to better select and schedule on demand programming to compliment their linear networks, provide better promotion with their MSO partners, increase distribution and attract advertisers to their free on demand content. Content owners have access to reports such as Performance By Title, Title Audience Sharing, Weekly Top Titles and Competitive Performance by Network Category, which can be sorted by MSO, date range, TV markets, etc.
