Comcast's Dating on Demand and Ziddio(TM) Celebrate Valentine's Day with a Twist, Connecting Single Models In Search of a Date with Viewers Nationwide

Groundbreaking Video on Demand Service Teams with User-Generated Video Web Site; Viewers Can Go to Ziddio.com to Submit a Video Profile for the Chance to Date a Model

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Sometimes even models need help finding a date, and Comcast's Dating on Demand is stepping up to help connect eligible models with singles across the country with its first-ever opportunity to "Date a Model." Dating on Demand, the first service combining video on demand with online dating, is marking its second anniversary this Valentine's Day by partnering with Ziddio.com, Comcast's national user-generated content Web site, to connect a group of single models with eligible viewers across the country.

Beginning this week, video profiles of single models will be featured on Dating on Demand. Comcast Digital Cable customers can watch the videos to learn more about each model's personality and the qualities they're looking for in a prospective date. Singles interested in going out with one of the models can then visit http://www.ziddio.com/ through March 30 to learn how they can submit their own video profile. The viewer-submitted profiles will be featured on Ziddio.com, where Web surfers can rate the submissions and send links of favorite clips to their friends.

"Dating on Demand has been a phenomenon since we launched it nationally, with video profiles of participants viewed more than 34 million times. This year, we're taking it to the next level by teaming up with Ziddio to help single models looking for love find possible matches with our viewers," said Matt Strauss, Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition and Development for Comcast. "This is another example of how our cross-platform services like ON DEMAND and Ziddio create a unique, interactive entertainment experience customers can't find anywhere else."

Dating on Demand's producers will review the user-submitted profiles and select viewers to go on dates with models in Los Angeles. Videotaped highlights of selected dates will be featured on upcoming editions of Dating on Demand: On a Date, a TV show chronicling the first dates of Dating on Demand participants, and on http://www.datingondemand.com/.

Dating on Demand offers millions of Comcast Digital Cable customers nationwide the opportunity to view video profiles of single men and women at any time, from the comfort and convenience of their own home. Earlier this year Dating on Demand also debuted on Cox Digital Cable. Profiles are grouped by gender and age range, and viewers interested in dating someone they see on the service can visit http://www.datingondemand.com/ to learn how to send them an e-mail message.

In addition to Dating on Demand, Comcast's ON DEMAND service features more than 8,000 programs every month that customers can watch at any time, including hundreds of movies, sports and fitness shows, children's programs, music videos, instructional shows, news and information programming and more.

Ziddio.com is a new national user-generated content Web site launched by Comcast Interactive Media. Ziddio brings together cable networks and partners to host co-branded contests with unique prizes and the chance for users to showcase their content across multiple platforms, including online and on Comcast's ON DEMAND service. Previous contests have included Ten Day Take, in partnership with Endemol USA, giving aspiring producers the opportunity to have their concept for a television show produced, and Urban Legend: Redux, inviting viewers to film their own scary take on popular urban legends. In addition, Ziddio.com recently announced a partnership with Facebook, the Internet's leading social utility, that will allow Facebook users to create and share user-generated videos and give them the chance to become part of a new television series titled Facebook Diaries.
