NBC Universal Selects Crispin to Automate Live Multichannel Operations

DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Crispin Corporation, a worldwide provider of broadcast automation software, equipment, services and support, was selected by NBC Universal (NBCU) to support their multichannel operations at 30 Rockefeller Plaza and at their new state-of-the-art cable operations center located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

These two facilities have unprecedented flexibility to provide live broadcast feeds of events on any of NBC's channels. Crispin's unique architecture, which was customized for their needs, instantly provided the functionality that NBCU required for these facilities.

NBCU's new state-of-the-art 350,000 square feet global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ houses three studios totaling 15,000 square feet. Additionally, the new facility showcases state-of-the-art control rooms, satellite operations and nonlinear edit systems. NBCU broke ground on its new global headquarters on November 21, 2000 and began broadcast operations on October 13, 2004.
