NEW YORK, Feb. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) today announced that broadcasting icon Barbara Walters will host an exclusive live call-in special on its SIRIUS Stars channel.

The special, Barbara Live, airs Monday February 19, Presidents Day, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm ET on SIRIUS Stars channel 102. She will be joined on the air for this special by Bill Geddie, the longtime executive producer of both The View and the Barbara Walters Oscar(R) Special. SIRIUS is the only place Walters has ever done live, call-in shows.

Barbara Live gives SIRIUS subscribers unprecedented personal access to Walters. She will take calls from and personally connect with SIRIUS subscribers from across the country in a frank, sometimes serious, sometimes lighthearted way, where anything might be discussed. This year marks Walters' 26th consecutive ABC-TV primetime Oscar(R) special, and on Barbara Live she will share behind-the-scene stories and details of her past 25 years interviewing the biggest names in Hollywood.

Exclusive to SIRIUS and for the first time ever, Walters will also play audio clips from her upcoming Barbara Walters Oscar(R) Special featuring excerpts of her interviews with such A-list stars as Ellen DeGeneres, Eddie Murphy, and Jennifer Hudson. These portions of the candid and revealing interviews will only air on SIRIUS, and not be a part of the television special.

SIRIUS also airs an exclusive weekly radio show with Walters called Barbara Walters' Best of the Very Best. This weekly one-hour series airs every Monday on SIRIUS Stars channel 102 at 6:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm and features a selection of her compelling interviews from the past 30 years with great entertainers and world leaders.
