Turner Broadcasting Names Beth Goss Executive Vice President of Cartoon Network Ad Sales, Marketing and Enterprises
NEW YORK, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. announced today the appointment of Beth Goss as executive vice president of Cartoon Network's Ad Sales, Marketing and Enterprises group, effective January 29. Reporting to David Levy, president of Turner Entertainment Ad Sales and Marketing and president of Turner Sports, Goss will be based in New York.

As part of this new operating structure, John O'Hara, senior vice president and general sales manager, Phyllis Ehrlich, senior vice president of ad sales promotions and marketing, and John Friend, senior vice president of Cartoon Network Enterprises, will now report directly to Goss.
Goss spent that past seven years working for Universal Pictures in a variety of executive marketing and licensing positions. Since 2004, Goss has served as executive vice president of the company's consumer products group where she was responsible for managing global licensing and retail strategies for the company and its operating divisions. In this position, Goss also is credited with creating the Universal Mobile entertainment division. Throughout her tenure, Goss has worked on a number of licensing programs for Universal's feature film releases including King Kong, The Fast and the Furious franchise, Scarface, as well as such television properties as Battlestar Galactica and Curious George. Under her direction, the Universal Studios Consumer Products Group launched a worldwide licensing program for the Curious George brand.
Previously, she served as executive vice president of Universal's The Brand Group from 2002-2004. Goss joined Universal in 1999 as senior vice president of promotions where she developed integrated marketing campaigns in support of Universal's home video and consumer products line. In addition to Universal Pictures, Goss has worked at Polygram Films (1997-99), Polygram Filmed Entertainment (1995-97) and DDB Needham (1993-95). Goss started her career working for McCann Erickson.
