"As an African American journalist, I remain committed to ensuring the stories of the black community are told and our history is remembered," said Art Fennell, anchor and managing editor, "Art Fennell Reports. "Too often, the nightly news focuses on the negative stories from our urban communities. These special segments are an opportunity to showcase the positive-the individuals and events that have made a valuable impact on us locally, regionally and nationally."

Art Fennell is a 20-year news veteran who has received nearly 100 awards for outstanding journalism and community service. In 2006, Fennell received a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award in the Anchor category. He has served as the president of the National Association of Black Journalists and was selected by Ebony magazine as one of the top 100 influential African Americans in the country. In addition to serving as anchor and managing editor of "Art Fennell Reports," Fennell is the founder of The Arthur Fennell Foundation (http://www.artfennellfoundation.org/), which is committed to raising funds and awareness to assist community-based organizations dealing with disease, education and prevention in diverse, underserved populations.
