Hendrix is known for a legendary sound that marked the evolution of modern rock guitar and was fundamental in the development of modern guitar amplification and effects. The Hendrix sound experience is now available to any musician through this new product by simply using a computer.

AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Edition is a cooperative effort between Authentic Hendrix, the official Jimi Hendrix foundation, and IK Multimedia. As the first guitar amp and effects modeling software focusing on Jimi Hendrix, this product can be used to recreate the authentic tones of popular Hendrix tunes. Now anyone can plug their electric guitar into their computer and have access to a complete emulation of the same guitar amp and effects setup that created the unique Hendrix sound.

Compatible with both Mac and PC platforms and the most popular recording programs, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Edition will be available from IK Multimedia and its network of dealers and distributors within the first quarter of 2007.

AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Edition will be available both as software only and as a bundled package of software with a guitar-to-USB cable interface allowing easy and direct connection to any computer.
