Trident Microsystems, Inc. Announces Second Quarter of Fiscal Year 2007 Earnings Conference Call

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trident Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRID), a leader in high-performance semiconductor system solutions for the multimedia and digital television markets will hold a conference call for interested parties of the financial community at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, January 24, 2007. The Company will release earnings after the market close on the same day.

Dr. JH Chang, President, John Edmunds, Chief Financial Officer and Glen Antle, Acting Chief Executive Officer, will discuss the second quarter of fiscal year 2007 financial results and the Company's business outlook, followed by a Question and Answer session. While the special committee of the Board of Directors continues to review stock option related matters, we currently do not expect these matters to be resolved by the time we report earnings on January 24, 2007. Accordingly, we anticipate that the earnings press release for the second quarter will be abbreviated to cover revenues and certain balance sheet line items as was the case with the first quarter of fiscal 2007. The company is working to be able to disclose and file its full financial statements as quickly as is practicable.
