Country Artist Michael Peterson to Headline Pennsylvania Farm Show

Concert Admission is Free

HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Country music recording artist Michael Peterson will perform at the 2007 Pennsylvania Farm Show at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff said today.

"We're happy to welcome Michael Peterson to the Farm Show," said Wolff. "As a musician and a friend to agriculture, he is a perfect fit to entertain Farm Show visitors and we look forward to his performance."

Peterson's performance in the Large Arena will include such signature songs as "Modern Man," and "From Here to Eternity," which earned him his first number one hit. In 1997 and 1998, Peterson was recognized as country music's top-selling, new, male artist and his record-breaking European concert appearances have earned him international recognition.

Peterson also entertains audiences as a motivational speaker. He has been a featured speaker and singer at both the national 4-H dairy youth and national FFA youth conventions, demonstrating his strong ties to the agricultural community.

Peterson's award-winning CD, "Down on the Farm" will be sold during the concert with proceeds benefiting the FFA. Peterson will also greet fans after the show for autographs and photos. This event is free of charge and is sponsored by New Holland and Messick's Farm Equipment.

The Pennsylvania Farm Show is the largest indoor agricultural event in the nation, featuring 6,000 animals, 8,000 exhibits, hundreds of shows and events, and more than 400,000 visitors. The eight-day show runs Jan. 6-13 at the Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. Admission is free and parking is $5. For more information, visit http://www.farmshow.state.pa.us/.
