Partnership Will Support the Retailer's Environmental Initiatives in
Highlighting Green Products

As an extension of its commitment to environmental sustainability, Wal- Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) in conjunction with MTV will host the opening of the "Everyday Green" eco-friendly retail exhibit, a unique joint initiative, on Monday October 23, 2006, in Times Square, New York City. The store will showcase multiple, eco-friendly products, demonstrating to young people how to make small changes in their daily lives that can make a big impact on protecting the planet.
