Stars of 'So You Think You Can Dance' Touring Across U.S.
WHO: The top ten dancers from the second season of the FOX hit
reality series, 'So You Think You Can Dance,' including the
competition's winner, Benji Schwimmer, and runners up Donyelle
Jones, Heidi Groskreutz and Travis Wall.
Benji Schwimmer, a twenty-two year-old specialist in West Coast
Swing, was voted by the national audience as "America's Favorite
Dancer" within this year's competition. His awards and prizes
from the show/competition included a brand new Hybrid SUV
vehicle, $100,000 in cash, and a place in Celine Dion's renowned
Las Vegas show.
Donyelle Jones, a twenty-six year-old specialist in Jazz and
Hip-Hop, currently resides in California as a dance teacher and
choreographer. Taught and trained at the Extensions Performing
Arts Academy, Jones was known as one of the top dancers within
the competition.
Heidi Groskreutz, a twenty-four year-old specialist in Latin,
Ballroom and Swing, is possibly the most experienced dancer
among the finalists. Her accomplishments include six U.S. Open
Swing Dance titles and a National Latin Dance Finalist title.
Travis Wall, an eighteen year-old specialist in Jazz, is a
Virginia native and one of the youngest within this year's
competition. His experiences include his two-year appearance on
Broadway in 'The Music Man.'
WHAT: For the first time ever, the 'So You Think You Can Dance' tour
will be coming to Newark, NJ and New York City, where fans will
have the opportunity to experience the exciting individual and
group routines of the competition's top ten dancers.

OTHER: Simon Fuller, the man behind the television sensation, 'American
Idol,' which found the careers of current artists including
Fantasia, Clay Aiken, and Kelly Clarkson, created this reality
series in order to provide for America another outlet of
excitement and entertainment. Fuller, along with Nigel Lythgoe,
was able create that second outlet through the form of dance.
And like 'Idol,' 'So You Think You Can Dance' was able to make
fanatic viewers out of millions across the nation.
