Teens Call the Shots at BG Blast
Busch Gardens' Launches New 'For Teens, By Teens' Social Networking and Live Music Channel
ST. LOUIS, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Teens want their opinions to be heard. This fall teens create their own online community with BG Blast (www.BGBlast.podshow.com), a new "for teens, by teens" social networking and music channel developed by Busch Gardens.
BG Blast will feature content produced and inspired by teen listeners from across the country, including engaging talk, commentary on the hottest trends and the latest music -- from chart-toppers to underground bands on the verge of stardom.
"The Internet offers today's teens an opportunity to express themselves in new way," said Joseph Couceiro, vice president of marketing for Busch Entertainment Corporation, Busch Gardens' parent company. "BG Blast is not only an online destination, it's a community in which teens will have the power to influence and ultimately decide what they see and hear."
As part of the BG Blast community, listeners will share music, upload and swap photos and trade stories of their teenage trials and tribulations in a safe environment. Listeners have the opportunity to leave voicemail messages via a toll-free phone line, as well as send requests and comments via e-mail. A rotation of three popular teen hosts ranging in age from 15 to 18 will drive the teen community -- BG Blast will also provide listeners the chance to be selected to host their own episode.
BG Blast will include the latest news from the Busch Gardens' parks, including new attractions, upcoming promotions, free stuff and more.
