WORLDSPACE will be presenting the music that made the movies in a first- of-its-kind satellite radio programming initiative that runs from October 23 through December 31, 2006. From Almost Famous to Zorro, a host of WORLDSPACE channels including Up Country (197), Jhankaar (46), Flava (204), Farishta (45), Potion (203), Shruti (232), Gandharv (233), Spin (44), Bob (177), The Hop (178), Voyager (11), Spandana (107), Tunak (108), Riff (222), Sparsha (106), Orbit Rock (176) and Tara (104) will feature music from some of the best movies from Bollywood to Hollywood. "From the Big Apple to the Big Easy" was recorded live on September 20 at Madison Square Garden and presented once in a lifetime performances by music greats including Elton John, Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Buffet, Dave Matthews, Simon and Garfunkel, John Fogerty, and Aaron Neville. The one-hour special is airing for the first time to support the Rhino DVD release of the full concert.
