WHAT: "Into the Fire," directed by Academy and Emmy
Award(R)-winning filmmaker Bill Couturie and produced by
Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, goes beyond the hero
image and into the hearts and minds of the men and women
who keep us all safe. Through intimate interviews and a
soundtrack featuring Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Dire
Straits and other leading artists, the film explores the
full range of emotions of firefighters and what motivates
them -- even as budget cuts and increased
responsibilities add to the challenges of their job.
This extraordinary documentary will forever change the
way we think about firefighters. "Into the Fire" debuts
on The History Channel on October 13th. Funds raised
through the showings of the film will benefit
firefighters and fire service organizations nationwide in
association with the National Fallen Firefighters
Foundation.
