Taubman Malls To Partner With Warner Bros. On Holiday Snow Globes Featuring 'Happy Feet'

Interactive experience, based on upcoming comedy adventure film, to fill snow globes in 17 Taubman malls nationwide

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Taubman Centers Inc. (NYSE:TCO) today announced a new partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures. Taubman will showcase scenes, characters and elements from the highly anticipated movie, "Happy Feet," from Warner Bros. Pictures, in an innovative, interactive snow globe display.

The experience is being designed and produced by the Becker Group, a Baltimore based experiential marketing company. The exhibit opens Nov. 2 at 17 Taubman shopping centers nationwide.

A Comedy Adventure, "Happy Feet" is set deep in Antarctica. Into the land of the Emperor penguins where each needs a Heartsong to attract a soul mate, a penguin is born who cannot sing. Our hero Mumble, son of Memphis and Norma Jean, is the worst singer in the world ... however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer!

Admission is free to Taubman's Snow Globes Featuring "Happy Feet." The exhibit brings to life key moments from the film and includes a 20-foot walk- through snow globe, where a cold Antarctic blast and falling snow welcome visitors to Mumble's home. Within the globe, guests can interact with life- sized sculptures of characters from the film and enjoy toe-tappin' music from the movie soundtrack.

The exhibit also showcases three-dimensional, penguin-filled "Happy Feet" scenes displayed in three, 6-foot snow globes with buttons to launch interactive elements; a walk-through 28-foot holiday tree where visitors can learn about key characters and a "green screen" experience where children can pose for holiday pictures that make them look like they're dancing with Mumble and other characters featured in the film.

Youngsters will also be able to have their pictures taken with Santa for a more traditional holiday photo.

"The snow globes are the perfect way to bring people into the world of 'Happy Feet,'" says Mimi Slavin, senior vice president, national promotions, Warner Bros. Pictures. "The snow globes transform the Taubman shopping centers into magical holiday destinations, immersing visitors in an interactive entertainment experience."

Taubman launched the Snow Globes last year at 11 of its malls by bringing to life the Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

"When the opportunity to showcase 'Happy Feet' in our snow globes presented itself this year, we couldn't have been more excited," says David Goldberg, Taubman vice president, sponsorship & marketing. "This is a perfect holiday film for the whole family, and penguins definitely seem to be riding high on everyone's best-loved list these days."
