Oprah, Dr. Phil and Martha Stewart as Role Models?

Oprah, Dr. Phil and Martha Stewart as Role Models?

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Oprah, Dr. Phil and Martha Stewart have been negatively associated in the news more than once - so why encourage others to view them as role models?

"We all make mistakes ... they do more good than most," says Jodie Lynn, author of a new book, "Syndication Secrets - What No One Will Tell You!"

Lynn drives home a point of passion and motivation in her two latest books. Following her gut instinct, she features these three celebrities for inspiration.

Lynn says, "They have determination, compassion and connect to the general public. If people would tune into their success by focusing on the strategies I outline in 'Syndication Secrets,' they would aspire to make things happen for themselves."

Lynn is receiving flack from some for not only commending Oprah, Dr. Phil and Martha Stewart, but also for portraying an African American and Hispanic mom on the cover of her latest book, "Mom CEO (Chief Everything Officer) - Having, Doing, and Surviving It All!" (June 2006).

"Being accused of designing a politically correct book cover is absurd. It was envisioned from the heart and hand-drawn by a collaborative effort of seven former Disney illustrators from their new home at Miracle Studios," says the award-winning columnist of Parent To Parent.

"The amazing woman who raised me was African American, and one of my best friends while growing up was Hispanic. In their honor, I wanted to achieve appreciation and validation that all moms bring to motherhood."

The combination of the three modern-day moms and powerful title speaks volumes for Lynn's hard work over the past fifteen years in encouraging moms to embrace the CEO title in enhancing the work that they do every day in motherhood -and life in general.

Contrary to popular belief, Lynn created the terms and implications of several CEO acronyms, including "Mom CEO (Chief Everything Officer)" - which AOL/Time Warner is "borrowing" without permission and claiming to have coined.

Lynn says, "I think it's incredible that AOL/Time Warner is validating moms - I just wished they would stop claiming to have coined the term/implication as I have requested. If there are questions, they can contact Tina Sharkey of AOL, along with Michael Kelly, who made this claim, or the attorney for AOL."

Lynn selected the beautiful cover and amazingly inspiring title to depict the value and importance of all moms.
