Nickelodeon Enters Agreement with Activision Value Publishing, Inc. to Become Exclusive Distributor of Nick Jr. Published CD-ROM Titles

NEW YORK, and MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- MTV Networks Kids and Family Group's Nickelodeon, a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE:VIA)(NYSE:and)(NYSE:VIA.B), has entered into a distribution agreement with Activision Value Publishing, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATVI), under which Activision will be the exclusive distributor of three new Nick Jr. PC CD-ROM titles, published by Nickelodeon and based on the top preschool series on commercial television, Dora The Explorer(TM), The Backyardigans(TM), and Go, Diego, Go!(TM). The titles will be available late September. The announcement was made by Paul Jelinek, Vice President, Digital Media Products, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family, and Dave Oxford, General Manager for Activision Value Publishing, Inc.

"This is an exciting digital initiative for Nickelodeon since it is the first time our company is publishing computer games on a cross platform basis," said Jelinek. "With a leading partner like Activision on-board to distribute these original Nick published games, based on some of our leading preschool properties, we are now able to fulfill consumer demand for this kind of entertainment both online and at retail."

These titles will be available at retailers nationwide end of September for a suggested retail price of $19.99 and have been rated "E" for Everyone (The Backyardigans: Mission to Mars) or "EC" for "Early Childhood" (Dora the Explorer World Adventure and Go, Diego, Go! Wolf Pup Rescue) by the ESRB.
