Neural Audio Corporation Will Demonstrate Its Digital Audio Technology at IBC2006
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Neural Audio Corporation, a leading provider of digital signal processing technology for the broadcast industry, will demonstrate its industry-leading digital audio capabilities for surround sound and audio conditioning for DTV and digital radio at IBC2006, September 8-12, 2006, Amsterdam RAI. Attendees can listen to demonstrations of Neural Audio's audio broadcast technology at the Harris Corporation Booth 621, Hall 7.
At IBC2006, Neural Audio and Harris will present Neural Surround's MultiMerge(TM) for DTV which uses intelligent and selective upmixing to blend any audio -- mono, stereo, matrix encoded stereo (L/R), and "5.1" discrete content into a seamless and uninterrupted 5.1 surround sound stream. With MultiMerge and Neural Surround DownMix and UpMix, technology, broadcasters can edit content and place localized material, such as commercials, in the digital audio stream.
Neural Surround DownMix and UpMix Backward and Forward Compatible
The Neural Surround DownMix and UpMix system for television and radio ensures backward and forward compatibility allowing analog, digital, lossy, linear, stereo and 5.1 to interoperate in existing (analog or digital) broadcast infrastructures. Utilizing Neural's proven watermarking technology, this allows broadcasters to mix, edit and save, and broadcast 5.1 content within existing stereo infrastructures.
"With the adoption of digital television moving at a rapid pace in the international market, we think that broadcasters are looking for every advantage that they can get in attracting wider audiences. And our audio products are positioned to do just that offering a compelling audio experience for all digital consumers," said Mark Seigle, Neural Audio president. "And with Neural expertise, broadcasters can leverage their legacy content and equipment for significant cost savings."
