ATLANTA, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Atlanta-based international hip-hop stars Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris and Young Jeezy; Atlanta-based R&B star Bobby Valentino; hip-hop stars Paul Wall and Remy Ma; Latino artist Chingo Bling; Co-CEO of Disturbing Tha Peace Chaka Zulu; super producer Bryan-Michael Cox; President of the Ludacris Foundation Roberta Shields; Def Jam Head of A&R Shakir Stewart; and Atlanta's own DJ Drama will join the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN) and Chairman Russell Simmons and President and CEO Dr. Benjamin Chavis for the Atlanta Hip-Hop Summit on Saturday, September 16th from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Doors open to students at Noon.

The Atlanta Hip-Hop Summit will take place at the Atlanta University Center on the grounds of the historic black college, Morris Brown College, in its John Lewis Gymnasium located at 643 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Atlanta, Ga. The Atlanta University Center includes Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University, Morris Brown College and the Interdenominational Theological Center.

HSAN's partners are Chrysler Financial, the title sponsor, and Anheuser- Busch, Inc., the presenting sponsor. The Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment's "Get Your Money Right" National Tour, now in its second successful year, brings together the powerful combination of hip-hop stars and Chrysler Financial experts to speak to students and community members about the importance of financial literacy.

The topics to be covered include the basics of banking, home ownership, repairing bad credit and understanding credit scores, entrepreneurship, vehicle financing and more. The "Get Your Money Right" national tour includes stops in three additional cities, including September 30 in Los Angeles; October 14 in Dallas; and October 28 in Toronto, Canada.

The Hip-Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment is a grassroots effort to help engage young people in discussions about the importance of personal finance. "Joining with Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris to host the Atlanta Hip-Hop Summit is a special blessing," emphasized Russell Simmons.
