Uber Music Producer J. Isaac Steps into the Limelight with Debut R&B Album, 'Welcome to the Planet'
Behind-the-Scenes Industry Guru Releases Album with Support from Juelz Santana, Slum Village, Dwele and Bilal
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- J. Isaac, a longtime fixture behind the scenes of the music industry with Sony Music Publishing and A&M Records, is poised for the nationwide release of his debut album "Welcome to the Planet" on August 22, 2006. His first single, "How I Roll" featuring Juelz Santana is already burning up the airwaves. "Welcome to the Planet," distributed by 306 Entertainment, features guest appearances from rap artist Kurupt, hip hop group Slum Village, neo-soul artist Dwele, and up-and-coming R&B artist Ann Nesby.
With the upcoming debut release, this Minneapolis native adds 'singer' to his already multi-hyphenated title of songwriter and producer. His impressive resume already boasts collaborations with Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Juvenile and Whitney Houston, along with writing and producing chart-topping hits such as Jill Scott's "Golden" and Q-Tip's "Vivrant Thing," and co-writing with industry hitmakers Babyface and Rodney Jerkins.
"I'm excited to finally show all aspects of my talent to the music world," says J. Isaac. "The album means so much to me, not only because it's my first solo album but because I simply love to sing and it's been my passion since day one."
An artist whose talent runs the gamut from pop, soul, Gospel and hip-hop, this talented singer/songwriter/performer has been an ear-pleaser since his mid-teens. Born in Tennessee, this talent honed his skills in the church as the son of a preacher until hip hop and R&B caught his attention at 15 years old. The self-starter distributed his music independently before landing his current deal with 306 Entertainment. His first single has already garnered impressive spins and significant airplay and he's poised to be the next breakthrough R&B artist in the industry.
