Retro Television Network Coming to Savannah, Florence and Myrtle Beach

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Media General's Broadcast Division to bring RTN programming to Savannah, Georgia and Florence and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Under the agreement, a joint RTN / My Network TV affiliation will air on a digital stream of WSAV, the NBC affiliate in Savannah, and WBTW, the CBS affiliate in Myrtle Beach / Florence.

RTN is a television network that airs ratings-proven programs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, in addition to local programming and sports entertainment. Since its launch last year, RTN has experienced continued growth and success with its affiliates, five of which are in top-50 markets.

Steve Gleason, Vice President of Programming for Media General Broadcast Division, said, "We look forward to serving our viewers with expanded digital offerings in Savannah and Myrtle Beach-Florence through the launch of RTN and My Network TV."

RTN's President Neal Ardman adds, "RTN has experienced such tremendous growth in the past year and we are excited about the opportunity to partner with Media General to bring RTN programming to these markets."

RTN programming is expected to be on air in both markets by September 1. Both stations will utilize Equity Broadcasting Corporation's C.A.S.H. (Central Automated Satellite Hub) system to deliver RTN programming to the station's digital transmitters.
