(MOTO) RED Square Featuring Scissor Sisters Live From Trafalgar Square

(MOTO) RED Square Featuring Scissor Sisters Live From Trafalgar Square

LONDON, August 18/PRNewswire/ --

- In Support of (RED)(TM) - The New Initiative Designed to Help Eliminate
AIDS in Africa

Motorola (PRODUCT) RED(TM) and Scissor Sisters are teaming up to create a
unique live music event.

To promote the red MOTOSLVR - the first Motorola handset created to
contribute to the fight against AIDS in Africa, and to celebrate
Scissor Sisters' hugely anticipated second album 'Ta-dah' released on
September 18th - the landmark venue Trafalgar Square will become (MOTO) RED
Square for just one night.

The event will take place on September 16th from 6pm. Tickets
are free of charge and will be made available to the public via a free prize
draw, beginning Friday 18th August at 9am.

The famous London site will provide the outdoor venue for the
lucky ticket winning audience - some of the first to hear spanking new
material from the latest Scissor Sisters album release. It will see the New
York act play one of their biggest individual gigs in the UK which will help
raise awareness and funds for the Global Fund as part of (RED)(TM). The
London event is proudly supported by the Mayor of London.

Music lovers can get their hands on tickets by sending an SMS
text to 80855 with the word MOTORED. The cost of the text will be GBP1.50
plus standard network charges with all profits going direct to the Global
Fund. The free prize draw will be open from 9am on Friday 18th August and the
line will remain open for 10 days (lines close midnight Sunday 27th August).
There will be 4,500 lucky recipients of a pair of exclusive tickets - chosen
at random. [No purchase necessary. Full terms and conditions, including
details of free route to entry, available on www.motorola.com/red]. All
entrants will be notified week commencing 28th August and entry on the night
will be strictly by ticket only.

Babydaddy comments: "Scissor Sisters have called all of their surviving
grandparents to gush with excitement at playing Trafalgar Square. London is
our spiritual home, and the UK gave us our first and longest-lasting embrace.
To be able to play this event in conjunction with the (RED) campaign and to
launch our new album, seemed the perfect match, as every step towards success
for us means a chance to give back to the global family."

Motorola first committed to (RED), the initiative co-founded
by Bono and Bobby Shriver, with the launch of the original red MOTOSLVR
handset on May 15th 2006. Motorola and the retailer partners in the UK are
contributing GBP10 from every red MOTOSLVR handset purchase to the Global
Fund. As well, network partners contribute 5% of the monthly bill generated
by each red MOTOSLVR. So, with every call, every text and every download,
consumers will be able to make a difference in the fight against AIDS in
Africa every day.
