Arthur Fogel Signs Long-Term Contract Extension at Live Nation
Named Chairman of Global Music at the Company
LOS ANGELES, July 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Live Nation (NYSE:LYV), a leading live event and venue management company, announced today that Arthur Fogel has signed a long-term contract extension at the company, cementing his tenure at Live Nation into the next decade. As part of the new deal, Mr. Fogel has been named Chairman of Global Music at the company and will also retain his role as President of The Next Adventure, the global touring division of Live Nation.
In his new role, Mr. Fogel will continue to oversee the music division of Live Nation in its acquisition of live musical events around the world. In addition, he will continue to create global touring opportunities for the company where he has produced some of the most successful tours in history, making The Next Adventure one of world's top international tour producers.

Mr. Fogel is currently producing the highly successful Madonna world tour, a world tour with Sting, and a major tour with Crosby, Still, Nash & Young. He also produced U2's highly successful "Vertigo" tour, which sold an astounding 3.1 million tickets worldwide. The Next Adventure has promoted every David Bowie tour since 1990, as well as tours with Sting (the "Sacred Love" tour) and CSNY (2002 and 2000). The company was also responsible for a number of U2's world tours ("Elevation" and "Pop Mart") and two additional Madonna world tours (2004 and 2001). North American touring projects have also included solo projects with Neil Young. All told, under Mr. Fogel's guidance, The Next Adventure has grossed in excess of $1 billion.
Arthur began his music career in 1981 with Michael Cohl's Toronto-based Concert Productions International (CPI), a company involved in promoting artists locally and throughout Canada. In 1986, he was appointed President of the Concert Division. Under his leadership, CPI produced an average of more than 250 concerts per year. In the late 1980s, in addition to its Canadian concert activity, CPI ventured into the global field, promoting The Rolling Stones' "Steel Wheels" tour (1989) followed by their "Voodoo Lounge" tour, David Bowie's "Sound and Vision" and "Outside" tours, and Pink Floyd's "Division Bell" tour on a worldwide basis. Mr. Fogel continued in this capacity until the sale of the company to Universal Concerts in 1995.
