KARE 11 News Retains Rating Lead in May Demos

MINNEAPOLIS, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- KARE 11 News remains in the lead position for all newscasts, according to demographic figures released today by Nielsen Media Research. KARE topped all local competition in the coveted 18-49 and 25-54 demographic groups of television viewers. KARE 11's dominance extended to the 6 a.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.

"We are pleased, but not surprised," said KARE 11's President and General Manager, John Remes. "These figures show us that our viewers are choosing to turn back to KARE 11 even if their current prime time viewing habits put them on other stations.
