First Act Inc. Granted Injunctive Relief from Kansas International; Company Vigilantly Guards Product Innovation

BOSTON, June 28 /PRNewswire/ -- First Act Inc. announced this week that the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts has granted the Company a preliminary injunction against Kansas International Ltd. The order, acknowledging First Act's proprietary design (U.S. Patent No. D487,627) for a customized guitar case, directs Kansas International to cease selling and distributing its "Burswood" guitar case, noting it has "striking visual similarities" to the First Act product. The Court also enjoined Kansas International from promoting or visually depicting the Burswood case and ordered the company to recall all such guitar cases sold or consigned to U.S. retailers.
