CHANNELBLAST(TM) Digital Broadcast Network to Launch Original Programming Series

CHANNELBLAST(TM) Digital Broadcast Network to Launch Original Programming Series

Entertainment Industry Vet David Tochterman to Executive Produce

CHANNELBLAST(TM) 'Internetwork' Offers Unique, Multi-Platform Opportunity for Advertisers and Marketers

NEW YORK, June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- CHANNELBLAST(TM), the first-ever fully interactive, live digital broadcast network, announced today that on June 28 it will begin a tiered rollout of original, live online video programming that presents viewers with multi-levels of live participation. CHANNELBLAST(TM) will launch with an evening programming block, airing Wednesdays and Thursdays, that will include 15-minute personality-driven live series in the categories of music, comedy and news commentary. CHANNELBLAST(TM) will launch its second tier of programming, including both scripted and reality formats, in late summer and fall. Today's announcement was made by Jani Aronow, CEO of Aronow Communications and founder of CHANNELBLAST(TM).

All CHANNELBLAST(TM) shows engage viewers with a diverse range of interactive components, including live interaction with entertaining shows through chatrooms, live phone-ins and webcam technology.

As part of today's announcement, Aronow said that CHANNELBLAST(TM) has pacted with producer David Tochterman to develop CHANNELBLAST(TM) and executive produce all original video content created for the network. Tochterman was a senior executive at Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, and indie powerhouse Carsey Werner, where his credits include THAT 70s SHOW, 3rd ROCK FROM THE SUN and GRACE UNDER FIRE. "David's vast television content experience brings CHANNELBLAST(TM) to the forefront of video content creation for the Internet, and provides leadership and an unprecedented creative partnership to marketers working with CHANNELBLAST(TM)," Aronow added.

Tochterman said, "At CHANNELBLAST(TM), we're creating a new generation of video content specifically designed for today's online audience. CHANNELBLAST(TM) takes advantage of the Internet's ability to empower communities. We're flipping the product placement model by creating contextually relevant programming that provides an instant connection with a global audience, and that's really exciting."

Aronow also announced today that Tower Records has signed on as the presenting sponsor for one of CHANNELBLAST'S(TM) series, Room 1015(TM), a music show following the careers of up-and-coming independent bands, and that SYMS Corp. will support NewzViewz(TM), an interactive news talk show that gives viewers a voice, and the CHANNELBLAST(TM) home page, seeing them as viable options for reaching the next generation of "Educated Consumers." Additionally, Tower Records will support the CHANNELBLAST(TM) launch with in- store promotions.

Additionally, Aronow said that 1-800-FLOWERS.COM will advertise across all CHANNELBLAST(TM) series and the CHANNELBLAST(TM) home page, and also will sponsor PromoBlasts(TM), the viewer promotion component of CHANNELBLAST(TM).

"With broadband audiences approaching cable network proportions, the wide- reaching power of video content on the Internet is exploding," Aronow said. "CHANNELBLAST(TM) presents unique, cutting-edge opportunities for marketers seeking to connect with viewers on the Internet, and provides compelling answers to questions about how to build user engagement on the Internet." Aronow said that the cost for an advertiser to develop one CHANNELBLAST(TM) show that runs for 13 weeks is less than one 30-second spot on prime time television. "And we're global," she added.

"CHANNELBLAST(TM) creates shows specifically for any marketer looking to associate its brand, product or message with entertaining programming that will resonate with, and engage, consumers on a global or more targeted level," Aronow said. "Unlike existing media companies that are simply adapting their structure and content to the Internet, we are producing video content exclusively for an Internet platform, designed to engage viewers with a live, interactive experience. Equally as important, there is an instant action e- commerce component that can be built in to every show."

Sonny Mayugba, senior market development manager for Tower Records, said his company was attracted to the show because "it is all about our brand vibe." He added, "Tower believes strongly in encouraging the careers of emerging artists. On Room 1015(TM), viewers can watch artists perform in an intimate setting and interact live with them. CHANNELBLAST(TM) is an exciting way to expand the Tower brand online." Aronow added, "ROOM 1015(TM) will provide e-commerce opportunities by enabling viewers to click icons of featured bands to order their CDs."

Marcy Syms, chief executive officer, SYMS Corp., added, "We are very impressed by the CHANNELBLAST(TM) business plan and commitment to producing exciting, original programming for the Internet. We are looking forward to the CHANNELBLAST(TM) launch and believe that this will be an exciting way for us to reach new 'Educated Consumers.'"

CHANNELBLAST's(TM) June 28 launch will include the following series:

* NewzViewz(TM), a news talk show airing every Wednesday and Thursday at 9
pm ET. NewzViewz(TM) allows "citizen" viewers to sound off on news
topics selected by the viewing audience. Former news anchor Bob
Wiltfong will host the series. An actor, writer and comedian, Wiltfong
has made regular appearances on "The Daily Show" and is currently in
production on a new series for Discovery Channel. NewzViewz(TM) was the
inaugural CHANNELBLAST(TM) show during the network's soft launch in
September 2005. The show will re-launch on June 28 in a reformatted
version.

* Room 1015(TM), a music show following the careers of up-and-coming
independent bands, hosted by former VH-1 on air personality Jim
Kaminski. Viewers will be able to chat live with emerging artists that
are selected via audience response. The series will air Thursdays at
10:15 pm ET. Visible From Space will be the first featured band on Room
1015(TM). The band's lead singer, Judd Harris, was a semi-finalist on
"American Idol Season 4." The band's musical performances have been
featured on "Dawson's Creek" and "Palmetto Point." Also among the
show's featured bands will be The Kin, widely considered one of the
music industry's most promising independent acts. They also serve as
inspiration for the show's name, courtesy of their soul-searching song,
"The Room."

* VidiotsLive(TM), a live unscripted comedy and video show featuring
segments that viewers interact with and vote on. Airing on Wednesdays
at 10 pm ET, the show is a free-wheeling compilation of video clips, man
on the street segments and more. Viewers can chat live with hosts Bobby
Moynihan and Charlie Sanders, who have been featured on Comedy Central,
VH-1 and Conan O'Brien.

CHANNELBLAST(TM) has multiple shows in development for its next rollout, including Exerstyle(TM), a fast-paced health and fitness show focusing on myth busting and healthy lifestyles. It will be hosted by Michael Feigin and Lawson Harris, who have a new show, "Fitness Gurus," on Sirius radio network.

All CHANNELBLAST (TM) shows, including the advertising content, are immediately archived in video vaults for future viewing. Soon, viewers will also be able to download all CHANNELBLAST(TM) content to mobile devices, Aronow noted.

CHANNELBLAST (TM) programming is viewed on custom-designed ChannelPages(TM), accessed through ChannelBlast.com, CHANNELBLAST's(TM) core website. ChannelPages(TM) are created specifically to enhance brand identification for a show's sponsor. ChannelBlast.com(TM) serves as the "TV Guide" for all CHANNELBLAST(TM) shows, and the hub for building an organically growing audience base. One of ChannelBlast.com's(TM) core community-building components is its live schedule of "virtual hosts," which are conversational avatars with whom viewers can chat with 24/7. Additionally, ChannelBlast.com(TM) features promotions, up-to-the-minute news, forums, blogs and user contributed content.

CHANNELBLAST(TM)-brand broadcasts employ the latest digital technologies and are all produced and distributed from the network's headquarters in midtown Manhattan. CHANNELBLAST(TM) uses state of the art live flash streaming for all of its broadcasts. Tochterman said that CHANNELBLAST(TM) will be using its streaming technology for a variety of applications including streaming live events and distributing user and other content.

"Content matters, and because our programming is live and interactive, there's an appeal for the instant gratification junkie in all of us that is very compelling," said Tochterman. "CHANNELBLAST(TM) gives viewers an active, 'lean forward' experience with content that resonates. It's no longer just an audience, it's a community."
