Patrons of Buzztime iTV2 Network(TM) Locations in North America Can Now Compete in Real-Time in Buzztime's iTV Version of Cutthroat

CARLSBAD, Calif., May 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NTN Buzztime, Inc. (AMEX:NTN), a leading developer and distributor of Play Along TV(R) entertainment and technology, announced today the availability of its latest multiplayer interactive television (iTV) game -- Buzztime Billiards(TM) -- to its Buzztime iTV2 Network locations throughout North America. Up to seven players in each location can grab a virtual pool cue to compete in Buzztime's iTV version of the popular game "Cutthroat" and vie to be the last pool shark with balls left on the table.

Buzztime Billiards is the first game on the Buzztime iTV Network to include 3-dimensional graphics for a more realistic play-along experience. Players have the option of viewing their next shot from any of three angles: behind their cue stick, from a standing position and a birds-eye view.

"Buzztime Billiards is similar to our blockbuster Texas Hold'em game in that players take turns in the game and have more time to socialize. Like Texas Hold'em, we believe it will appeal to a wider market of sports bar and tavern customers," said Chuck Mitchell, executive vice president and executive producer, NTN Buzztime. The game is designed so two to seven players can compete head-to-head on one virtual pool table. Depending upon the number of players, the 15 balls are divided evenly amongst the players with some balls remaining neutral. Players take turns using their virtual pool cue to attempt to knock the other players' balls into the table pockets while keeping their own balls on the table. The last player standing with balls remaining on the table wins the game.

Buzztime Billiards is now available for play in the over 2,000 locations that currently carry the iTV2 dual-channel version of the Buzztime iTV Network.

In keeping with the company's plan to offer its Buzztime-branded multiplayer games on multiple interactive platforms, Buzztime launched the 9-Ball version of Buzztime Billiards for the interactive cable television market earlier this year on Blue Ridge Communications' cable television system.
