Free Summer Concert Series Returns to Saratoga Gaming and Raceway for a Third Season

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- . The sounds and rhythms of many kinds of music along with the best entertainers in the area return to the party tent this summer at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. The Free Summer Concert Series kicks off Memorial Day weekend with the first performance by Bluz House Rockers on Friday, May 26 at 9 p.m. The Series will continue every Friday and Saturday night through September with Wednesday and Thursday nights added to the schedule in July. And new for this summer, The Burners UK will be the featured band every Wednesday night July 26 through August 30. Following two very successful summer seasons, the tent at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is ready to bring the fun and excitement back to Saratoga for a third year.

"The party tent has become quite a hot spot during the summer season and it is without hesitation that we bring back the Free Summer Concert Series for our patrons," said Jamie Hartman, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Saratoga Gaming and Raceway. "We have heard only great feedback from the patrons that have attended the Series the past two years, and we wanted to provide that fun experience for them again," he added. The 110 foot by 40 foot tent is located next to the gaming facility and offers a roomy seating area, a large bar for easy service, a terrific dance floor, and a stage with top-of-the-line sound and lighting equipment. The party tent will open at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights with live music beginning at 9 p.m., unless otherwise noted on the Series schedule. Patrons must be 21 years of age or older to enter the tent. A short list of the bands performing include: The Burners UK, The Refrigerators, New York Players, and The McKrells. Additionally, every other Sunday beginning June 11, the tent will feature Polka from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. On these night guests can enjoy dancing to some of the area's top Polka Bands including The Rymanowski Brothers, Tony's Polka Band and Fritz's Polka Band. The first gaming facility to open in New York State, Saratoga Gaming and Raceway boasts over 1,300 state-of-the-art video gaming machines, a full service restaurant with buffet, a fine dining restaurant, three full-service bars, a food court and deli, a point boutique, and a variety of guest services including valet parking and coat check. Patrons can participate in our player rewards program, Player Extras Club, while visiting the property. The 55,000 square foot gaming floor cost $15 million to construct and employs an additional 300 local residents. Saratoga Gaming and Raceway is located on Crescent Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY. Operating hours for the gaming facility are 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. Simulcast races can be viewed Tuesday through Sunday. Live Harness races run Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
