Si TV Debuts New Fully-Scripted Sketch Comedy Show April 14
'Unacceptable Behavior' Skewers Today's Headlines With Controversial and Outrageous Comedy
LOS ANGELES, April 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Si TV, the country's first English- language, Latino-themed network, will debut its new, breakout, entirely original sketch comedy show, "Unacceptable Behavior" on Friday, April 14 at 11:00 p.m. (PST and EST). The 30-minute weekly series will create a destination for Friday night television that promises to be Monday morning's "water cooler" show of the new season.
"'Unacceptable Behavior' shows Si TV's commitment to delivering our audience really innovative programming that they can't get anywhere else. It's funny, edgy and most importantly, it's comedy that's perfect for the huge and growing audience that other networks don't reach," said Jeff Valdez, co-founder and chairman of Si TV, and executive producer of "Unacceptable Behavior."
The predominantly-Latino cast features nine comedy actors as they take on the sacred cows of our society with hilarious and edgy skits. Produced before a live studio audience, Si TV's first fully-scripted comedy show brings together undiscovered, raw talent who deliver one-of-a-kind performances in original, off-the-wall and totally irreverent sketches.
"We're making some of the show's sketches available online in addition to the entire series being on television -- making Si TV a true multiplatform home for high-quality original programming that appeals to young Latinos, as well as multicultural youth," said Si TV CEO Michael Schwimmer.
The hilarious sketches planned range from the Sister Jo Fashion Show, where an ambiguously dressed pseudo-metrosexual designer shares his latest fashion concepts from ghetto nuns to altar boy getups; "Mrs. Fong" features a Chinese restaurant owner who teaches her Latino employee how to be authentically Chinese -- the skit takes multicultural stereotypes to the bitter, belly laughing end, and much, much more.
The "Unacceptable Behavior" cast includes Joaquin Garay III, Ricky Garay, Gabbriella Gattos, Angel "Ace" Guillen, Adam Jacobo, Angela Malhotra, Jonisha Rios, Charles Sanchez and Jose Sonera.
Prior to the April 14 TV premiere, Si TV debuted a webisode of "Unacceptable Behavior" on April 1st and is currently making small-screen edited versions of the sketches available for iPod downloads at www.sitv.com/ub/.
