"It's was our honor to be a part of such a worthwhile project to help rebuild this ballpark for the kids of East Boynton Beach," said Alan Marc Smith, CEO Electrograph Systems, Inc. "It was especially exciting to not just rebuild what was there, but to help provide what is really a field of dreams for this community."
Little league baseball has a rich history in East Boynton Beach. In 2003, the league went to the Little League World Series and finished runner-up to the Japanese team. After Hurricane Wilma, their fields were completely destroyed and in need of a complete overhaul. ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is completing a series of shows entitled "After The Storm," of which East Boynton Beach was a part. The heart-warming episode highlighted Electrograph's contribution to the community's cause.
In addition to the plasma and LCD displays, Electrograph provided a complete turn key solution with audio, mounts, cables and a team of installation experts on site for implementation and installation. Electrograph, its vendor partners and employees also made a donation of $100,000 to help rebuild other parts of the park which were destroyed by the hurricane.
