VH1 Classic Takes Over VH1 Airwaves on Thursday, March 23

NEW YORK, March 21 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1 Classic takes over VH1 airwaves on Thursday, March 23 beginning at 1:00 PM to showcase the classic music network's original series and specials including:

* "VH1 Classic in Concert" is an hour-long series that presents live,
full-concert performances from some of the greatest names in rock, pop &
soul. "Decades Rock Live," an innovative new live concert series,
features performances by celebrated artists from rock to soul who have
influenced popular music over the last 50 years, as well as performances
from some of today's hottest recording acts who have been inspired by
these legends. This episode honors Cyndi Lauper and will feature special
guests including Scott Weiland, Shaggy, Ani DiFranco, The Hooters and
Pat Monahan of Train.

* "Hangin' With" an original VH1 Classic series in which artists including
Revered Run, Blondie and Queen discuss upcoming projects as well as
their music career experiences.

* "Metal Mania" features some of the first heavy metal bands as well as
the big-haired, spandex heroes of metal's heyday including Poison,
Motley Crue, & Bon Jovi.

* "Live from the VH1 Classic Studio" features live exclusive performances
in the VH1 Classic studio from some of music's greatest including Al
Green, Pat Benatar, Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze and Bryan Adams.
