UrbanWorld Wireless Teams Up With Jamster!

UrbanWorld Wireless Teams Up With Jamster!

New 'Street Beatz' Category Created Exclusively for Deejays, Producers and Unsigned Artists!

LOS ANGELES, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- UrbanWorld Wireless, the premier leader of original mobile content, continues its mission to link urban content with wireless technology through its impressive artist roster that includes the hottest names in music, sports, comedy, film and more. Now the company has created a new ringtone category made exclusively for deejays, high profile producers and the hottest unsigned artists, called "Street Beatz."

The role of the deejay has completely evolved from the 70s to today, making this new category extremely important. Initially the deejay was responsible for spinning records at parties, but today deejays are changing urban culture. The role of the deejay has gone from block parties to the creation of mixtapes, hosting their own radio shows, variety television shows, to ultimately having their own record deals. "Although the industry is focused on ringtones by hip-hop artists, comedians, Hollywood celebrities and sports figures, we recognize the deejay to be just as influential," says Mike Johns, UrbanWorld CEO. "This new category will extend the impact of the deejay and transcend the energy of the party to the wireless world, much like other ringtones do."

Jamster!, a worldwide leading mobile entertainment portal, is the first to introduce the new category. "UrbanWorld is fulfilling a significant need with this new category and we are excited to be the first leading the industry in its implementation," says Randall Paul, Senior Licensing Manager for Jamster! International. "Street Beatz" are accessible at www.jamster.com by entering "Street Beatz" in the search feature of the website.

The category features the hottest deejays in the country, many of whom are on UrbanWorld's elite roster, representing the sounds of both coasts and the "Dirty South." UrbanWorld's deejay roster includes:

* The World Famous DJ Kid Capri is a true hip-hop veteran credited with
several "firsts" -- the first deejay to appear on television, the first
deejay to produce ringtones and most recently, he announced his first
mobile game, "Kid Capri presents Hip-Hop 101," making him the first
deejay to have a mobile game. His new record label, NO KID'N RECORDS,
will launch his first Hip-Hop artist, Budda in 2006.

* Spinderella, the First Lady of UrbanWorld, got her start as the deejay
for female rap group Salt & Pepa. She was recognized at the 2005 VH1
Hip-Hop Honors, along with Salt & Pepa for their numerous contributions
to hip-hop music. For the last two years, Spin took over the airwaves
during afternoon drive on 100.3 the Beat in Los Angeles along with
co-host A-One. In addition to deejaying the hottest private parties
and industry events, Spin can be heard on her nationally syndicated
radio show "The Back Spin."

* DJ Whookid is the official deejay for G-Unit, home to platinum rap
artist 50 Cent. His popular "G-Unit Radio" radio shows on New York's
Hot 97 and Sirius Satellite Radio's SHADE 45 have spread around the
globe, from Europe to Japan and beyond. DJ Whookid has spanned
hip-hop's full spectrum of talent, working with platinum artists Busta
Rhymes, Twista, Li'l Flip, and others.

* Fatman Scoop, hip-hop artist and producer, was featured on two hit
songs in 2005, "Its Like That" for Mariah Carey and "Lose Control" for
Missy Elliott. The Missy Elliott track, featuring platinum selling
artist Ciara, earned him two Grammy nominations for Best Rap Song and
Best Short Form Music Video. Currently Fatman Scoop dominates the
airways as a host on New York's popular Hot 97.

* DJ Clue is considered the Godfather of mixtapes and has been
influential in breaking the careers of numerous artists, including
platinum recording artist Fabolous, Joe Budden and DJ Envy. His first
mixtape, The Professional: Part I, was the first mixtape to sell over
one million copies. DJ Clue has his own show on the popular New York
Hot 97 and is also one of the hottest club deejays, hyping parties all
over the world.

* DJ Kay Slay aka "The Drama King" has worked with many platinum artists
including 50 Cent and Eminem. He's received numerous awards, most
recently at the 2005 Mixtape Awards. Through his connections in the
music industry, he brokered a major label deal with Sony for his
Streetsweepers mixtape series. He hosts shows on New York's Hot 97 and
Sirius Satellite Radio's SHADE 45.

In recognizing DJ Kay Slay's creative genius of discovering new talent, UrbanWorld has him heavily involved in bringing new talent to the company. Most recently, he played an integral role in UrbanWorld signing Papoose, the first unsigned artist to get a ringtone deal. This amazing rapper banged out 10 official solo mixtapes in 2005 packed with freestyles, cameos and remixes. Buzzing harder than any other underground artist in the mixtape circle, Papoose was a natural for the "Best Underground Artist on a Mixtape" Award at Justo's Annual Mixtape Awards. "Eminem and 50 Cent both came from the mixtape and the next rapper in the era is Papoose," says DJ Kay Slay. "I'm excited to help UrbanWorld maintain its ear to the streets and bring in new talent!"
