R&B Artist KEM Adds Third Show at House of Blues in New Orleans and Makes Donation to the Local YMCA

DETROIT, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- R&B Singer/Songwriter KEM unexpectedly added a third show to his INTO YOU TOUR stop in New Orleans in order to accommodate more fans. The first two shows at the House of Blues, one which took place last night and the other scheduled for Thursday, March 16th at 9:30 p.m. are sold out. KEM will perform an additional show Friday, March 17th at 12:30 a.m. -- right after Thursday night's show. Motown Records' critically- acclaimed singer/songwriter KEM, who was recently nominated for two NAACP Image Awards and remains on Urban AC and R&B Charts with hit single, "Find Your Way," from his sophomore release KEM Album II, began his 30-city INTO YOU TOUR: UP CLOSE & PERSONAL in February. Near the end of the first show tomorrow evening, KEM will make a donation to the local YMCA to help out with New Orleans' continued recovery efforts.

"My upcoming performances at the House of Blues New Orleans is less about me and more about this beautiful city's commitment to move forward in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina," said KEM. "I'm grateful to be a part of the rebirth of New Orleans ... a city I love."

KEM will treat audiences to a performance of songs from both KEM Album II and Kemistry. His sophomore CD, KEM Album II, which crossed over and reached #5 on the Pop Albums chart and remains on the R&B Albums chart, certified gold after only two weeks of release. His hit single "I Can't Stop Loving You" was designated Radio & Records' and Billboard's #1 Adult R&B Record of the Year for 2005. Nearing Platinum selling status, KEM Album II was self-produced by the multi-talented artist, and is the highly-anticipated follow-up to KEM's 2004 certified gold debut, Kemistry, which delivered the sleeper hit, "Love Calls." The single stayed in the Top 20 of radio airplay for more than a year.

"House of Blues is incredibly appreciative of the support that the New Orleans music community has shown for KEM and we are grateful for his series of shows that bring great music back to New Orleans and his willingness to be a part of the rebuilding efforts," said Sonny Schneidau of the House of Blues.
