'Co-Hosts' Wanted For Detroit's Premier Street Festival!; Comerica TasteFest 2006 Now Recruiting Volunteers
DETROIT, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroiters have enormous hearts for volunteering their time and energy for a good cause. And each year Comerica TasteFest volunteers feel like they co-host Detroit's hottest street party. Come join the fun and give back to the community at the same time! Comerica TasteFest 2006 is now looking for energetic, people-friendly volunteers. Held in Detroit's New Center, the city's premier street festival runs Friday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 4.
Volunteers are needed to staff beverage and information booths. In appreciation for their service, volunteers receive an official Comerica TasteFest crew T-shirt, free parking and an opportunity to win special "thank you" giveaways.
"Comerica TasteFest volunteers are a vital part of the whole TasteFest experience," said Randall Fogelman, festival director. "They all work together to transform Detroit's New Center into the Comerica TasteFest and are the very backbone of this extraordinary event."
To receive information about becoming a Comerica TasteFest volunteer, please visit http://www.comericatastefest.com/ or call (313) 872-0188. Previous volunteers will not need to register again as information will automatically be mailed to them.

A myriad of musical genres and styles will offer something for everyone -- from electronic and garage rock, to folk, jazz and blues.
Combine this energy-charged musical atmosphere with 40 outstanding local restaurants, an eclectic shopping experience in the 2nd AVE Street Market, a special Detroit's finest gallery, and the oh-so popular Tot Lot, and you have one amazing summer holiday weekend!
Each year more than 500,000 visitors fill the streets for the Comerica TasteFest, held adjacent to the historic Fisher Building on West Grand Boulevard between Woodward Avenue and the Lodge Freeway. Hours are 11:30 a.m.- 10:30 p.m. daily (until 8 p.m. July 4). Admission is free. "Taste" tickets are $5 for 9 tickets.
Comerica TasteFest is produced by the New Center Council, Inc., which uses the proceeds to support its charitable activities including an award-winning summer youth program and the yearly maintenance of the New Center's outdoor public spaces.
