QVC Seeks New Program Host

Open-Call Auditions to be Held at Studio Park, QVC's World Headquarters

WEST CHESTER, Pa., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- QVC, the leader in electronic retailing, is holding open-call auditions in search of a new program host on Friday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET. Auditions will be held at Studio Park, QVC's world headquarters, located in West Chester, PA.

Program hosts are an integral part of QVC's interaction with the customer. The primary function of a program host is to educate the customer on a product's features and benefits, while creating an entertaining environment for the viewers.

Since 1999, the host search process has produced more than 75 percent of the new hosts who currently appear on QVC. The most recent additions to the QVC family include Jacque Gonzales, Carolyn Gracie, Dave James, Sheila Johnson and Antonella Nester.

"We are looking for an individual who can provide important, factual information in a conversational and credible manner," says Jack Comstock, vice president of television sales. "We have had tremendous success with previous host searches, and I look forward to adding a new individual to our programming lineup through this process."

During the audition, candidates will spend two minutes mock-selling a product in front of a camera. It is requested that auditioners bring with them an item to sell, a current resume, and a headshot (if available). All auditions are held on a first-come, first-served basis.
