Seattle Space Needle's First Internet Radio Broadcast Elevates wsRadio Interest

SAN DIEGO, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Using Seattle's world-famous Space Needle for their live March 10th remote broadcast, the wsRadio-produced "Shutterbug Magazine Radio" elevated the interest among the show's growing international audience of photographers. "This is one of that city's most majestic 'photo ops,'" said past Seattle resident and show host Jack Warren, known as the "voice of photographers."

The live broadcast, which originated from wsRadio.com studios in San Diego, California, was a first of its kind for the 1962 World's Fair landmark. According to the Space Needle Marketing Manager, David Mandapat, "The Space Needle has broken new ground on many fronts and this live Internet radio broadcast is another first for us."

Joining Jack Warren on-air was contributing Shutterbug Magazine Radio Photo Editor, Jim Moitke of the Washington-based BetterPhoto.com. Jim's company also used the broadcast to celebrate their ten-year business anniversary. BetterPhoto.com's staff and online instructors (some of whom were on hand for the celebration) offer online photography courses for beginners to pros. Moitke also shot and posted on BetterPhoto.com photos of the broadcast from Seattle's number one photo spot.

This special Shutterbug Magazine Radio broadcast aired live via the internet on wsRadio.com, during its regular 12-1 pm PST Friday timeslot. The program was also archived for 24/7 listening by topic and date, with podcasting options for photographers on the go.

The show is sponsored by Shutterbug Magazine, the leading U.S. photographic magazine. "We are always developing innovative ways to support photographers," said Warren of the unique radio program format.

WsRadio.com is known as the Worldwide Leader in Internet Talk. WsRadio also produces eBay Radio for eBay Inc and a full broadcast network for Entrepreneur Magazine. WsRadio recently created a full 24/7 Network "HayHouse Radio" for HayHouse Publications. Fifteen hours of HayHouse programming is also broadcasting on the Lime Network, channel 114 on Sirius Satellite Radio.
