Industry Pioneer, Dale Knoop, Joins MobiTV to Drive Content Acquisition

EMERYVILLE, Calif., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- MobiTV, Inc. the global leader in television and digital radio services for mobile devices, today announced the hire of industry vanguard Dale Knoop as Sr. Director of Business Development. Knoop will drive strategy and acquisition with a focus on content for WiFi and mobile networks.

Knoop comes to MobiTV after serving as Sprint's General Manager of Multimedia for more than 6 years. While at Sprint, Knoop worked with MobiTV to help launch Sprint TV Live, paving the way for the now burgeoning U.S. mobile television category. Over the past several years he had a key role in the development of the multimedia business models for Sprint Vision Phones as well as the launch of Sprint Multimedia Services.

Working with partners such as Disney, E!, NBC, The Weather Channel, Universal and Viacom, Dale's team brought some of the most innovative mobile content to consumers. Both MobiTV and Sprint won an Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development in 2005.
