Help Save Pets Across America

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- North Shore Animal League America, soul singer Joss Stone and professional NASCAR driver Greg Biffle announce the 2006 Tour for Life which will stop in more than 20 U.S. cities to help save pets across America. A cooperative initiative with animal shelters across the country, Tour for Life reinforces the importance and advantages of adopting shelter cats and dogs. Since its inception in 2001, Tour for Life has placed thousands of needy animals with loving adopting families.

Tour for Life commences on March 29 as two of the League's Mobile Adoption Units travel two routes simultaneously, helping over 100 shelters and rescue groups across the country find homes for orphaned pets. The Tour ends with a "Grand Finale" event at FAO Schwarz in New York City on Saturday April 29, 2006. Tour for Life's two celebrity spokespersons; Greg Biffle and Joss Stone will actively promote and communicate Tour for Life's mission to save pets nationwide.
