Turner Broadcasting Chairman & CEO Philip I. Kent Named Honorary Chair Next Generation Leader Awards To Highlight Industry's Brightest New Stars

NEW YORK, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association for Multi- ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) today announced plans for its 2006 Annual Awards Breakfast. Held in conjunction with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) National Show in Atlanta, Georgia, the event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center from 7:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Philip I. Kent, Chairman and CEO, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. is the event's Honorary Chair. Highlighting the 2006 Annual Awards Breakfast will be the inaugural presentation of the Next Generation Leader Awards. Up-and-coming business leaders demonstrating managerial practices and ideologies that reflect NAMIC's mission to educate, advocate and empower to achieve multi-ethnic diversity will be honored. Honorees in three categories: MSO, programmer, technology company, and as many as 10 emerging leaders will be recognized.
