Jennifer Montana to Star in New TV Series: 'On the Vine' Debuts March 12, 2006 on PAX TV
SAN FRANCISCO, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Wine and Dine Television LLC announces the debut of "On the Vine" a lifestyle program exploring the world of wine and food. Hosted by Jennifer Montana, wife of Football legend Joe Montana, the weekly series airs Sundays at 5:30 p.m. on PAX Television (Comcast Channel 16), beginning March 12.

Montana is supported by a star cast of wine and food experts including chef Holly Peterson of the Culinary Institute of America; writer and TV personality Leslie Sbrocco; Adam Lazzare, winemaker at Hahn Estates; Bert George of respected wine retailer Joseph George and Clyde Beffa, owner of K&L Liquor.
"On the Vine" presents Montana's unique, behind-the-scenes perspectives on the great wine estates of Napa, Sonoma, High Valley and the Central Coast, connecting wines with the culinary creations of talented chefs from elite California restaurants. The 20 wineries featured during the first season include Artesa, Brassfield Estate, Clos Pegase, Duckhorn, Far Niente, Jordan, Lancaster Estate, Peter Michael, Quintessa, Rubicon Estate and Schramsberg. Viewers will learn the intricacies of winemaking from the vineyard to the glass, with exclusive winemaker interviews and tasting comments.
In addition to wineries, "On the Vine" features top restaurants such as Bistro Jeanty, Lark Creek Inn, Moose's, PlumpJack Cafe, Terra and the Waterfront. Chefs will match wines with their signature dishes, giving user-friendly tips on food and wine pairings.

"On the Vine" is produced and directed by EMMY winner George Chung with more than 300 feature broadcasts to his credit including PBS Series Kanga Roddy starring Jennifer Montana and the late Pat Morita.
