Valuable Appointments as Company Rapidly Expands Throughout North America with Personalized On Demand Video Products
WOBURN, Mass., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Gotuit Media Corp., the leading provider of personalized video products, today announced the recent appointments of Dan O'Connor to vice president of engineering and Patrick Donovan to vice president of product management.

New Appointments' Backgrounds:
Daniel O'Connor, V.P. of Engineering
Daniel O'Connor joins Gotuit after 15 years in a wide variety of senior engineering responsibilities focused on interactive TV and multimedia, including the last eight years at an interactive program guide software development organization.
Prior to joining Gotuit, Daniel was vice president of platforms engineering and then senior vice president of partner integration and operations for TV Guide On Screen, a subsidiary of Gemstar-TV Guide. During his eight-year tenure, his role grew from purely engineering to strategic covering product design, business development and customer/partner management. Previously, he held a number of senior software engineering/architect roles at NetRights, Skipstone, the Interactive Media Laboratory at Dartmouth Medical School and Apple Computer, with a focus on digital rights and interactive media.
He holds an A.B. degree in engineering sciences from Dartmouth College and pursued his doctoral research in interactive media at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
Patrick Donovan, V.P. of Product Management
Patrick Donovan joined Gotuit after more than ten years of senior management experience, the last five with interactive TV media hardware and software companies.
Prior to joining Gotuit, Donovan directed Motorola's Whole-Home Media Solution products, including Whole-Home DVR -- Motorola's first networked solution for set top boxes. He joined Motorola when the company acquired Ucentric Systems, where he was vice president of product management. He led the product management of the Ucentric Digital Home Solution, a suite of software products that delivered whole-home media solutions, including Whole- Home DVR, Music, Photos, and other applications. Ucentric's software was licensed by Motorola, Voom, HP and DirecTV. He also secured agreements with major service providers, including Comcast, AT&T Broadband, Rogers Cable and Cablevision. He previously served as director of operations for CareTools, Inc., an enterprise software provider to the healthcare industry. Donovan began his career in management consulting organizations Grant & Partners and Symmetrix.
Donovan earned a B.S. degree in management science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. with honors from Harvard Business School.
