Architectural Digest Launches 'Ad 360' and Podcasts the Making of the Architectural Digest Greenroom at the 78th Annual Academy Awards(R)

NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Architectural Digest will launch "AD 360," the official podcast for the world's definitive design magazine, it was announced today by Amy R. Churgin, Vice President and Publisher of Architectural Digest. The inaugural video episode, featuring a tour of the Architectural Digest Greenroom at the Oscars(R), will be available for viewing beginning Friday, March 3. Viewers can download the first episode by visiting the iTunes Music Store, Yahoo!, Odeo or Podnova.

The "AD 360" podcasts will be designed to give viewers and listeners inside access to Architectural Digest events, including front row seats to in- depth conversations with leading designers and architects. Video footage and audio content will be updated regularly and culled from the magazine's promotional activity around the country.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to not only reach Architectural Digest readers through a new medium, but to connect with those who are not as familiar with the world of design," said Churgin. "'AD 360' will bring our signature events and promotions to a wider audience. In launching our podcasts, I cannot think of more compelling content than backstage, behind- the-scenes footage of our Architectural Digest Greenroom at the Oscars."

For the premier "AD 360" podcast, Architectural Digest will give subscribers a glimpse backstage at the Kodak Theater, just days before the 78th Annual Academy Awards. 2006 marks the fourth year that Architectural Digest has teamed up with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to create the Architectural Digest Greenroom. Oscar telecast production designer Roy Christopher, who designed the Greenroom with his wife, set decorator Dorothy Christopher, will lead a backstage tour. Subscribers will also view footage of the room's construction.

This year's Architectural Digest Greenroom summons vintage Hollywood and evokes the glamour of an intimate yet luxe lobby of a fantasy motion picture theater. The room's design aesthetic features Sharp AQUOS LC-TVs and incorporates furniture, accessories and lighting by Baker; carpet by Mohawk Flooring; fabric by Larsen, available through Cowtan & Tout; crystal accessories by Swarovski; and an Art Deco screen from Marge Carson.

Architectural Digest is the world's definitive design magazine, reaching an audience of more than 5.2 million readers each month. The magazine features the work of world-class authors and photographers and regularly presents a "first look" at the homes of leaders in the fields of entertainment, fashion, business, society and the arts.
