RealNetworks Announces Appointment of Michael Eggers as Chief Financial Officer, Succeeding Roy Goodman

SEATTLE, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- RealNetworks, Inc. (NASDAQ:RNWK), the leading creator of digital media services and software, today announced the appointment of Michael Eggers to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Mr. Eggers, an eight-year veteran of RealNetworks, succeeds Roy Goodman. Mr. Goodman will remain with the Company assisting with Treasury, Investor Relations and other finance functions.

Michael Eggers joined RealNetworks in 1997 as a Manager of Finance. He was promoted to Corporate Controller in 1999 and then to Vice President Finance in 2003. Eggers has been responsible for corporate accounting, tax planning and worldwide financial planning and analysis. Prior to joining the company, Eggers worked at KPMG in the Audit Practice division. Eggers graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting from the University of Washington.
