"For Network LIVE to fulfill our vision of delivering consumers great live music content, how they want it, when they want it and where they want it, it was imperative we find the person with the right mix of music passion, hunger for digital entertainment, street smarts and relationships to run our music department," said Kevin Wall, founder and CEO of Network LIVE. "Grosky strikes a delicate balance between addressing the needs of artists and labels while staying true to the vision and future of digital entertainment consumption. I am confident that under the helm of Grosky, Network LIVE's music department will flourish, thus feeding consumer appetite for live music across multiple platforms."
"The music industry is hungry for new, relevant and effective ways to connect artists with fans in a meaningful and cost-effective manner," said Aaron Grosky, Vice President of Music Programming of Network LIVE. "My enthusiasm for joining Network LIVE stems from the understanding of what is happening in the marketplace, and the potential for Network LIVE to truly impact the course of music marketing and distribution immediately and in the future."
Grosky brings nearly 10 years of music and technology experience to the company.
Most recently, Grosky served as the head of Artist, Label Relations and Programming for Virgin Digital, where he helped define a programming voice, secure artist and label relationships, and implement systems for the digital music service in the US and Europe. Previously, Grosky founded Shift, Inc, a media encoding and entertainment networking services company, and held senior positions at RioPort where he oversaw client acquisitions, and Almo Sounds where he managed digital initiatives. As Head of Music for iFUSE, Grosky was responsible for the creation of the record label and music sites, managing A&R, business development, and marketing efforts.
