Comcast Hosts Dating ON DEMAND and Karaoke ON DEMAND Celebration at Dave & Buster's in Dallas

Comcast Hosts Dating ON DEMAND and Karaoke ON DEMAND Celebration at Dave & Buster's in Dallas

Comcast Helps Singles Make Dating ON DEMAND videos, and Invites Aspiring
Singers to Try Out Karaoke ON DEMAND for a Chance to Appear on TV!

Comcast will host the first ever Dallas area Dating ON DEMAND viewing party on Thursday, February 9th, at Dave & Buster's in Dallas off Stemmons Freeway. The event will show videos from Dating ON DEMAND, and offer local singles a way to make their own Dating ON DEMAND video. The event will also provide would-be singers a chance to test out Karaoke ON DEMAND in front of a live audience. And one lucky singer could wind up in a Comcast TV segment later in the year.

Both Dating ON DEMAND and Karaoke ON DEMAND have proven wildly popular and received some amazing interest in their short lifespan. Dating ON DEMAND, barely a year old, has been requested by Comcast customers nearly 470,000 times in the Dallas area, and more than 21 million times by Comcast customers nationwide. Karaoke ON DEMAND is even more popular. Comcast customers requested Karaoke songs more than 6 million times since its October debut -- without any pre-launch promotion or marketing. Locally, Karaoke ON DEMAND received 140,000 requests in the first two months!

The celebration event, featuring Dating ON DEMAND videos and Karaoke ON DEMAND demonstrations, will benefit the American Heart Association. A suggested donation from singles videotaping Dating ON DEMAND profiles will go to support the American Heart Association's efforts to fight heart disease. The fun is open to the public, as Comcast showcases interesting Dating ON DEMAND videos and local vocalists sing their hearts out to Karaoke ON DEMAND.

Comcast, the nation's leading provider of cable, entertainment and communications products and services, provides both Dating ON DEMAND and Karaoke ON DEMAND to Digital Cable customers at no additional cost. Digital Cable customers can enjoy these services right now. They are available 24 hours a day, for television on your terms!

Dating ON DEMAND is accessed through the "Life and Home" category on the ON DEMAND main menu. Selecting Dating ON DEMAND will bring up a variety of selections -- and hours of fun! With Karaoke ON DEMAND, would-be singers can perform their favorite tunes from the comfort, convenience and privacy of their own homes, while entertaining guests, hanging out with their family, or trying to out do Frank Sinatra.

There is a tune for every amateur singer's preference, from hip hop and oldies to modern rock and country. Karaoke ON DEMAND is simple and easy to use -- there is no need for a microphone or any other audio equipment -- and is perfect for singing solos, duets or getting the whole gang going at family get-togethers.

Digital cable customers simply select "Music" from the ON DEMAND menu. Then, they can choose the "Karaoke" category to access a vast library of musical selections in the style of the original recordings, including fun songs like: "Born to be Wild," "Sweet Home Alabama," "Great Balls of Fire" and scores of other favorites.

Comcast offers more than 3,800 video on demand program choices, with the vast majority available for no additional cost. In 2005 more than one billion programs were viewed on Comcast's ON DEMAND service.
